Angie May was born and raised in Tularosa, NM. When she graduated high school, she moved to Las Cruces, NM, to study Communicative Disorders at NMSU. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2000 and moved on to ENMU to get her Masters in Speech Pathology. In 2005, while she was getting her master’s degree, she married her high school best friend, Cody May. She graduated from ENMU in 2007, and with her husband moved to Carlsbad. Angie worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in the Carlsbad School Systems for 12 years before joining the Faith, Hope, and Love team in 2019 to facilitate Brittany’s Hope. Angie and Brittany Martin (the name sake of Brittany’s Hope) were best friends, coworkers, and office mates before Brittany passed away in 2017. When the time came for Brittany’s Hope to have its own representative within the Faith, Hope, & Love Foundation, Angie took up the call to honor Brittany and all those suffering with a cancer diagnosis in Carlsbad and the surrounding areas.
