As we leave one year and step into the next we all begin to make plans to essentially become better in any and every way possible. We set goals for ourselves as a reset on life with each new year. We say goodbye to one season and embrace a new one. My hope this year and honestly with each new day is to look at it as an opportunity to press into the goodness of the Father. We don't have to wait for everything to be just right, we don't have to wait for a new year to start fresh. We get to come to the Lord just as we are right now. There isn't a formula we have to follow perfectly to step into his presence. The beautiful thing is He wants us just as we are right now.
The world around us seems to be chaos all the time but as soon as we read the word, pray or listen to a worship song we are invited into peace. His word becomes our delight and our soul finds rest. I don't know about you but I feel like I always need rest. Every single time I am found in prayer, reading my bible or caught up in a song there is fullness of joy. Every thought that has consumed me melts away and I gain a new perspective. So we can look at a new year as a season of opportunity, goals to achieve, or even as just another day but my hope is that you would be found in His presence as each day comes.
My challenge to you is simply find a moment to read a verse to hold onto, say a quick prayer or even look up a song and listen.
My Prayer for You
Father I am so thankful for your word and that each time I come to you I find peace and rest. Thank you Lord that I find delight each time I choose to enter your presence, it is so sweet to get to spend time with you. Father I pray that I would be found in your presence each day especially when it gets hard. Thank you for abundance living show me how to love you and be fully loved by you. In Jesus holy and precious name I pray
